36 Gun Frigate, Royal Navy, Main Mast Build-Up Study; around 1800

One of my free-time projects while I've stayed at Cambridge, UK from January to March 2020. Maybe it there will be something bigger in the future... ;-)

I also tried to build the mast like a traditional shipwright would make them.

The different stages of coils, rubbing pouch and iron hoops are standing for different time periods.

I tried to mimic how sailors of this time period would set up a mast (rigging not included).
Note: this procedure could be done at Sea without a crane or dock.
